Oh, a ferocious daschund. I'm intrigued.

Hello, preciouses. How was everyone's Christmas? Hmm? Well, that's good.
Ours went well. Saw most of the family on either side. And a schmaltzy slide show on my dad's side. Some cute photos of him and his siblings doing kid stuff. However, at other times it looked like picnic with the mob.
Ah, well...
Few if any of my generation on that side look like hitmen.
On the other side, it was bring your dog to lunch day. Jeff and Kathryn brought their two boxers, and David's new daschund puppy was one center of attention. If you weren't busy watching football, that is. She's so cuuuuuuute! *cute puppy face* But she still has those sharp puppy teeth. Ow.
Pookie has been loving the cold weather. Either that, or she hates having to climb the stairs with the ice on them so she elects to stay put on the ground. Lucille, on the other hand...
She's fat and furry enough to shrug off the elements, but nooooo. Always waiting to come back inside where it's nice and warm.
Now we wait for the roads to clear off enough to hit the stores to blow all of our money. Also my dad's taken my car to get something else fixed. *sigh*
Stupid car.

This is probably a sign from God that you're not supposed to do that...

*giggling in Heather's direction*
A bit of advice. If anyone tells you that they're going to be cleaning the Warehouse, stay away. Far, far away. The fumes from the industrial cleaning fluids (smeared over the floor at least twice) are enough to make you either high or sick with one whiff.
Most unusual weather for J-Town yesterday. I mean, frozen precipitation on the second day of winter? What's up with that? It's usually pretty fall-ish until mid-January at least. Whatever.
Also, skidding, even for just a very brief period of time, is no fun.
Merry Christmtas to everyone out there! Remember your pets and those less fortunate than you while you're enjoying the festivities with your friends and family!

It IS possible to raise a sunken vessel with ping-pong balls!

I have ventured into the ghetto and returned fully intact. Which is more than any of the other GWC-ers can say.
Wrapping up school this week. Not the semester, mind you, but while my lovelywonderful comrades at USJ are sweating out exams, I will be distributing "Merry Christmas" -es throughout my domain.
No exams for me!!! Perks of being in the public school system. Actually, I stand a chance of only having one exam all year, and that's for an AP course. Whee.
I've finished shopping for my mom and one Secret Santa, and I plan on doing most of the rest of my holiday purchasing tomorrow and Tuesday.
I look forward to seeing everyone in the near future. Also, it seems I am Everest.

I am Mount Everest!

Mrs. Hardin says she's taking the AP class to hell.

Happybouncylaughingness!
Which, translated into standard English, means I'm terribly excited over the fact that my debit card thingy came in, therefore I have something with which to purchase Christmas gifts. Also I've had some sort of stimulant that's making me hyper. Aaahh! The devil!
Running downstairs to the front of the auditorium after singing a rather long-winded song in the balcony isn't a good idea, especially since we're supposed to start singing, like, right when we get down there. Now, I don't know about Carmen and Melody and Dustin, but Sarah and I were still trying to breathe correctly halfway through that one. Most of the time we just moved our mouths and took in air to keep from passing out. Things were getting kinda spinny there for a while...
Also Luke set fire to something while trying to fix the spotlight. It smelled like burnt marshmallows.
But yeah, I've got almost an A in English, not counting the 10+ points that'll be added to my research paper. (That's a good thing, in case you haven't figure it out yet.) Uhh...also we're making literary Christmas tree ornaments later this week. More points!!
So I'm gonna go smile about my amazing good luck and do some homework. That's not so fun, but there isn't too much tonight. Yay.

...they all speak in unison...

Busy, busy me! In addition to all of the usual things I do throughout the week, I am or have been or will be involved in some sort of extracurricular thingy for several days.
Wednesday: showed up for a CyHigh meeting that got cancelled because I was the only one there. Then Warehouse.
Thursday: national anthem (la la la...) at the basketball game.
Friday: festive holiday performance with one ensemble for Kevin's mother's company. Three Way. Never drive there.
Yesterday: All State auditions in Memphis. Women's chorale, second alternate.
Today: different ensemble singing at Lambuth Memorial United Methodist. Had communion and everything, too...
Tomorrow: Christmas concert rehearsal.
Tuesday: rehearsal again.
Wednesday: make up last week's CyHigh meeting.
Thursday: Christmas concert.
Sunday: sing at another church. I think it's a predominantly black congregation. Should be another interesting experience.
Fortunately I'm much better than I was a week ago. My nose isn't threatening to cecede anymore.
